Advent Windows
Have you seen any of the Kingshill Advent Windows? Here's some examples below!
There's still time to make one.
You can download a map of some of the Windows made by Kingshill Baptist church members and Kingshill residents.
Darkness is exciting, darkness is wonderful, darkness is kind, learned Jill Tomlinson's Owl who was Afraid of the Dark.
Are you interested in decorating an Advent Window to light up the Kingshills for the festive season? Why not help people to enjoy the special winter-time darkness even more by creating an illuminated decorated window for this season?

If you live in Little Kingshill, read on and sign up if you want to take part.
Alternatively, just make a beautiful decorated window - there is no need to sign up if you don't want to!
- Make sure you have a window visible from the pavement to share with passers-by.
- Pick a week in December by which you will have switched your window on.
- If you need some inspiration, search the internet for "Advent Windows". You'll find examples that make use of black paper to create silhouettes, or of miniature dioramas behind a curtain, or coloured cellophane/ lighting gels/ tissue paper. You might just hang some fairy lights in your windows in a beautiful shape! We can give you a couple of sheets of black A3 sugar paper to help get you started if you would like - there's a box to confirm you want this on our sign up sheet.
- Have fun creating your window and switch on!
