PRESS RELEASE

London coffee shop chain Silvios and Kingshill Baptist Church are excited to announce the launch of a new community shop; the Kingshill Kitchen.

Silvios have been serving the West End and City with high quality coffee and more since 1954, and now they bring their expertise and experience to Little Kingshill. The Baptist Church Hall (on Windsor Lane, opposite the Green) has been transformed into a temporary pop-up shop, with Silvios offering  barista-made Italian coffee using the company’s thirty year traditional custom blend, alongside pastries and essential supplies like bread, milk and locally sourced food and produce including fresh flowers from Wild Rose Florists.

“As a small food retailer and hospitality business we have always supported independent suppliers, and since moving here four years ago I have had the ambition to create a local outlet bringing those same values” said Mr Silvio Ciccone.

“I know many small businesses have suffered badly throughout the pandemic, but I believe a greater sense of community has emerged during the lockdowns so I felt there will probably never be a better time to start a community focussed initiative. I’m delighted Rev. Martin Hatfield and the church members shared our vision and offered the Church Hall which we feel provides the perfect location where the local community can catch up with friends over some great coffee, pick up a top-up shop or simply pop in to find out what is happening locally.”

Rev Martin Hatfield added “Both Silvios and Kingshill Baptist church see this as an exciting community project, serving the people of Little Kingshill as best we can. We will be keen to hear your feedback, and I look forward to seeing you there.”

The Kingshill Kitchen offers on-site parking with covid safe protocols including contactless payments on-site, and takeaway service only. Open seven days a week: Monday-Friday from 7am to 5pm; Saturdays from 8am to 5pm and Sundays from 9am to 4pm.   Follow the Kingshill Kitchen online at instagram.com/thekingshillkitchen or email thekitchen@silvios.co.uk
